The Interval Forecast

An interval is a group of consecutive days with similar and continuous weather including precipitation and temperature. Icons for rain, chance of rain, snow, chance of snow and generally dry make forecasts easy to read. An interval forecast outlines the weather trends in a specific location up to a year ahead on the calendar and while weather trends usually start right on cue, sudden atmospheric changes can cause conditions to start early and end later. WeatherPlanner accounts for this possibility showing a window of time that opens the day before the predicted weather and lapses into the day following a weather trend. An interval can be as short as 2 days but the longer the interval of continuous weather the more confidence you can have planning for that weather. Choosing a date in the middle of an interval is the optimal choice to ensure dry, mild conditions for your event.
