How does WeatherPlanner compare to a farmer's almanac?

The WeatherPlanner forecast is made from a complex set of algorithms that predict how weather systems will move through place and time. The actual process is proprietary, but our meteorologists develop standard weather charts and applythe modern meteorological techniques to display fronts and low-pressure centers.

A Farmer's almanac (and there are many different publications with that name) also use proprietary processes and most have at least one meteorologist on staff. None of them specifically describes the use of modern meteorological methods, however many of them indicate that they are statistically, historically, astronomically, or even astrologically based.

While the farmer's almanacs are very general in their descriptions of the weather with predictions made over a large geographical area, WeatherPlanner's meteorologists use algorithms with data from specifictimes and locations to create long range forecasts, making them as site-specific as possible.
